Panhandle Civil Litigation Attorney
Breach of Contract – Contract disputes often arise in the implementation or enforcement of commercial contracts. Our civil litigation attorney represents clients in interpreting and enforcing professional, business, and service contracts to ensure that the interests of our clients are protected.
Business Litigation – Business partnerships can often lead to disputes that result in a lawsuit. Business disputes can arise for various reasons as partners operate a company and work together. The most frequent reasons partnership disputes arise include from breach of fiduciary duty, authority disputes, violation of non-compete agreements, disclosure of confidential information, and misappropriation of trade secrets. Our business litigation attorney competently represents clients in litigating business partnership disputes to protect business interests.
Business Professional Liability Defense and Insurance Defense – Professional liability defense protects professionals and businesses from lawsuits and disciplinary actions that could threaten their licenses or reputations. Professional liability insurance provides coverage to professionals from malpractice claims and lawsuits. Our professional liability and insurance defense attorney can represent individuals or entities with defending against Plaintiffs’ malpractice claims.
Mediation and Arbitration – Business litigation often involves alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration. Arbitration is particularly used in the context of business litigation when parties are bound by a contract provision which selects arbitration as the venue for dispute resolution. Arbitration is a private process outside of the court’s jurisdiction, where disputing parties agree for the dispute to be decided by a neutral arbitrator or panel of arbitrators. Arbitration is different from mediation because in arbitration the neutral arbitrator has the authority to decide the dispute, whereas in mediation, the mediator has no authority to bind the parties or decide the case.
Injunctive Relief – A court injunction, or injunctive relief, is often available in the context of business litigation, for example to protect against infringement of intellectual property or trade secrets. Injunctive relief is the legal term for seeking a court order to stop a party from committing an action, as opposed to an action for damages, which seeks monetary relief.
Real Estate Litigation -Karim Tabbaa handles real estate litigation in Northwest Florida, including real estate contract disputes, title disputes, commercial and residential landlord/tenant disputes, construction litigation, partition and ejectment actions, and many other real estate litigation matters. Slip and Fall Injuries – We represent injured people against liable parties in premises liability lawsuits. Property owners have a duty to take reasonable measures to keep their premises safe for guests, visitors, and patrons. When a property owner fails to address preventable hazards and a slip and fall accident occurs, the property owner is liable to the injured party for his failure to keep the premises safe. Injuries from falls can be life-altering and victims of slip and fall accidents deserve compensation to help them get the medical treatment that they need.
